Franck Muller unveils its new masterpiece, the Giga Tourbillon Vienne. Three unique timepieces inspired from Vienna’s iconic landmarks, the Schloss Schönbrunn, St. Stephen’s Cathedral and the Wiener Staatsoper, the emblematic opera house.
This exclusive collection is an ode to elegance that marries history, art and fine watchmaking to create three exceptional timepieces that capture the essence of Vienna’s grateful lines, intricate floral patterns and refined shapes.
The emblematic Giga Tourbillon, housed in a distinctive Curvex CX case, has been fully redesigned and manufactured with a completely new movement. The hands, bridges and tourbillon upper bridge have been fully reworked, inspired by Vienna's beautiful architecture. The Giga Tourbillon Vienne, built form 299 components, is a true watchmaking masterpiece that showcases Franck Muller’s exceptional know-how. Each timepiece is a celebration of elegance, art and fine watchmaking.
To highlight all the mechanical elements of the timepiece, the skeletonised movement is placed above a stunning dial, allowing a clear distinction of the barrels and tourbillon cage. In contrast to traditional tourbillons powered by only one or two barrels, the Giga Tourbillon Vienne features four barrels to ensure an impressive 4-day power reserve elegantly displayed through a dedicated counter at the 12 o’clock position.
In addition to the traditionnal dial on the front, the Giga Tourbillon Vienne introduces two supplementary dials. Positioned beneath the balance wheel, the second dial captures the essence of the timepiece. The third dial, positioned on the back of the timepiece, features an aperture that provides visibility of the central wheel and third wheel. This unique dial also incorporates an exquisite artistic illustration of the movement.
Crafted in rose gold, yellow gold, and white gold, The Giga Tourbillon Vienne timepiece embodies Franck Muller’s commitment to craftsmanship and exceptional horological technique. The rose gold is inspired from warm architectural interiors and colours, the yellow gold variant reflects external architectural elements and the white gold version draws its inspiration from paintings. The colors of the Giga Tourbillon Vienne special edition have been inspired by Vienna's beautiful gardens and architecture, featuring tones such as champagne, white and blue.
The three unique timpieces were unveiled during an exclusive dinner at the Schloss Schönbrunn, in Vienna. To mark the occasion, Franck Muller Watchland made a special journey to Vienna to celebrate the launch of this distinctive timepiece.
Available only in rose gold, white gold and yellow gold in 38 milimeters case, the Giga Tourbillon Vienne is exclusively available at the boutiques Uhrmachermeister Hübner and Schullin Uhren im Looshaus, located in Vienna.
