ANALOG ALLURE IN STAINLESS STEEL

In a world increasingly driven by digital technologies, the analog is taking on a new and special significance. It stands for immediate experiences, mechanical precision and a quality that endures for many years. The 70s captures this fascination. A distinctive retro design, the finest craftsmanship and carefully selected materials come together to create a timepiece with an unmistakable character and balanced proportions. The square stainless steel case draws on the design language of the Seventies family in a more compact size: measuring 39 x 39 mm and just 9.6 mm high, it sits comfortably on any wrist.

DIAL IN “STEREO PANEL”

The silver-colored dial draws inspiration from the analog hi-fi systems of the 1970s, true icons of mid-century design. The surface of the dial features a subtle hexagrid pattern for visual depth. The hour and minute hands, as well as the hour markers, are crafted from solid gold, coated in black and treated with Super-LumiNova® to retain the monochrome look of their design inspirations. A date window at 3 o’clock completes the harmonious design of the dial.

PATENTED QUICK-CHANGE SYSTEM

This model comes on a black rubber strap with a subtle embossed pattern, fitted with Glashütte Original’s patented Groove Lock System, used here for the first time. It consists of a specially developed connecting element on the case and a matching clasp, both of which can be swapped without tools, so the strap can be changed in the blink of an eye to suit any occasion.

MINIATURE MECHANICAL WORLD

The basis for this 70s model is the in-house Calibre 36-11. A silicon balance spring ensures the utmost precision, while a single spring barrel guarantees a power reserve of at least 100 hours at a frequency of 4 Hz. The sapphire crystal case back reveals the characteristic three-quarter plate with its precise stripe finish, the hand-engraved balance cock and the skeletonized rotor with a 21-carat gold oscillating weight.
